High-profile figures from across radio and advertising, including CEO of Starcom MediaVest UK, Pippa Glucklich and LBC’s Nick Ferrari, will join keynote speaker, Alastair Campbell, at a new Radiocentre conference on July 8th.
Chief Executive Siobhan Kenny will open the conference by unveiling a fresh new identity and direction for Radiocentre as it evolves to meet the challenges of the digital age and an expanding audio market.
Taking place at Bounce, a new events space in Holborn, the conference will address challenges and future opportunities in radio with a string of thought provoking speakers including: -
Alastair Campbell, who helped guide the Labour Party to victory in three successive general elections, will be interviewed by LBC’s Nick Ferrari, to find out What it takes to win as well as how to deal with setbacks and challenges.
Richard Huntington, Chief Strategy Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi, will take a look at Trust – why we have to give it, to get it.
Tuning into advertisers, will be a panel session exploring why radio is such an important medium, what advertisers want from it and how it should be used in a “digital first” landscape. Karen Gray, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Homebase, will be joined by Pippa Glucklich, CEO of Starcom MediaVest UK and Jason Berry, Creative Director at J.Walter Thompson.
Guy Phillipson, CEO of the IAB and Mark Barber, Planning Director at the RAB, will examine recent developments in digital audio, the wider context and listening trends across all formats in a session, Getting heard: the wider audio context and why it matters.
Further speakers will be announced in the run-up to the conference, which this year is being opened up to a broader audience including advertisers, agencies and digital players. The Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards are taking place the same evening at the Roundhouse in North London.
